On June 25, 2019, the Graphene 2019 Conference, orchestrated by the Phantoms Foundation, commenced in Rome, Italy, marking a four-day summit of groundbreaking discussions and presentations. This prestigious gathering attracted top graphene research teams and enterprises from across the globe, including China, the United States, Spain, Brazil, Italy, the United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, and South Korea. The conference delved into critical areas of graphene such as fundamental theory, optoelectronics, as well as its application in chemical engineering, energy, biomedicine, electronic sensors, and flexible wearables.
Beijing Graphene Institute (BGI), led by the esteemed Academician Professor Liu Zhongfan, was among the distinguished attendees invited to contribute their expertise to this international forum. The highlight of the day unfolded at 4 PM with BGI's global recruitment seminar, which captured the attention and participation of hundreds of global scientific and industrial elites. The seminar featured appearances by BGI's leading figures: Academician Liu Zhongfan, Vice President Professor Zhang Jin, and Dr. Gao Xue, the Head of the Glass Department and Assistant to the President, with the session chaired by Vice President Researcher Wei Di.
