Beijing Graphene Forum 2022: Pioneering the Future of High-Quality Development

In an illustrious event held from October 23-25, the Beijing Graphene Forum 2022, orchestrated under the guidance of the Beijing Municipal Science & Technology Commission and the Zhongguancun Science Park Administration Committee, with the Beijing Graphene Institute at the helm, unfolded in the capital. This forum, a confluence of esteemed minds and robust line-ups, marked a significant stride in the graphene industry's journey.

Adapting to the pandemic's constraints, the forum, centered in Beijing, seamlessly integrated virtual and in-person formats to extend its reach nationally and globally. This innovative approach facilitated the participation of representatives from nearly a hundred universities, research institutions, government departments, and enterprises, fostering a vibrant exchange on the cutting-edge advancements and industrial progress of graphene in the new era.

 Dean Liu Zhongfan of the Beijing Graphene Institute presented an annual report on BGI's remarkable achievements. The report highlighted strides in platform construction, team building, breakthroughs in foundational research and industrial development, cultural soft power, and systemic innovation, showcasing BGI's comprehensive progress and effectiveness throughout 2022. Notably, the establishment of BGI's Future Lab and the acceleration of industrial cultivation signify a leap forward. The assembly of an international talent team of nearly 300, significant achievements in talent acquisition, training, and development, the operationalization of the 4th industrial building, breakthroughs in graphene material preparation and transfer techniques, and BGI's recognition as a "Specialized, Fined, Peculiar, and Innovative" high-tech enterprise underscore the institute's commitment to leading the global graphene industry.

In the era of accelerated technological revolutions and industrial transformations, BGI remains at the forefront, rolling out batch-standardized products. The forum featured a special session for the launch of BGI's high-quality graphene material products, introducing three flagship products: a 4-inch single crystal graphene wafer, an A3 size graphene film, and a graphene glass fiber fabric product, emblematic of BGI's core research and innovation prowess.
